Rome
Rome is located in the Lazio region of central Italy and is the capital of the country, and is fondly referred to as the Eternal City.
A breathtaking and beautiful city, Rome has more monuments and museums than the average visitor has time to see. Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, St. Peters Basicilla, and the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City are just a very small handful of sights that should be experienced while in Rome.
Rome is not just a city of culture, history, and crumbling marble, but a lively city that's a lot of fun too. There are plenty of cafes, pubs, and bars offering all kinds of live music and entertainment.
The expression "Roma, non basta una vita" ("Rome, a lifetime is not enough") pretty much sums it up, as even the most dedicated of native Romans is unlikely to see it all!
